ASL is a methodology used in IT.
The Application Services Library (ASL) is a standard in the public domain, which describes a standard for processes within the' Application Management (the discipline that deals with implementing and maintaining applications and information systems). The term "library" was used because the standard ASL is based on the description of best practices used in the environment.

This standard was developed in the Netherlands, and is closely related to ITIL, and CMM BiSL. It is described in several publications and articles (many of which are in Dutch) on the official website of the ASL Foundation.

The standard was developed as not to be found a structure that would support the proposed way of working with the departments using the Application Management ITIL framework, especially useful for management, but felt weak in supporting the design and application development.
